Hospitals in Calderdale and Huddersfield have issued a warning as their services are extremely busy.

The Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has asked visitors to Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary to only come if their condition is an emergency. According to the Trust, both hospitals and their A&E departments are “extremely busy”.

The Trust has also asked people to stay home if they are feeling unwell, especially with flu symptoms, coughs or colds. Those who need urgent medical advice should call NHS 111 online here or by calling over the phone to find the best service to use.
