Read the post again. Nowhere does it mention ICE funding. ICE already has $75 billion through 2029 — that is exactly the point. Republicans want full DHS funded as a package. Democrats want ICE reform conditions attached before agreeing. Neither position is about ICE’s budget.…

Stop pretending this is clean or one-sided. Patty Murray and Democrats did push multiple bills to fund TSA, but they deliberately stripped out ICE to force policy changes. Republicans said no and demanded full DHS funding, including ICE, and passed that through the House. Then Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats blocked that version. That is the reality. Both sides are using TSA workers and airport chaos as leverage in a fight over immigration policy. Meanwhile TSA agents are working without pay and travelers are stuck in multi-hour lines because Washington refuses to pick a lane.
