Black students 4 grades behind Asians, Seattle Public Schools official calls gap acceptable and provides space for reflection

Seattle Public Schools official in 2021 stated that the significant achievement gap between black and Asian students should not be closed but rather seen as an opportunity for reflection and growth, despite the 3.5-grade-level difference between them in 8th grade.

Imagine what would happen if a conservative ever said that race achievement gaps are OK because they "provide space for reflection."
