Biden’s $7 billion climate fund disappears into thin air and no one can explain where it went

The numbers tell a story no one in the White House wants to discuss. A nonprofit that barely existed just two years ago has somehow been entrusted with $7 billion in taxpayer money, all under the guise of fighting climate change. There’s no real plan, no clear oversight, and the little we do know raises more questions than answers. This isn’t about clean energy, it’s about political connections and backroom deals.

This group, called the Climate United Fund, was created in November 2022. At that time, it had a laughable $547,000 in revenue. By 2023, it had already spent nearly all of that—$451,000—without any real explanation of where the money went. Then, just months later, the Biden administration decided this group, which had done next to nothing, was worthy of a $7 billion windfall. No history, no track record, just the right friends in the right places.

Who’s running the show? The CEO is Beth Bafford, a former Obama aide with deep ties to Democratic operatives. The connections don’t stop there. The group has links to major Democratic insiders, including California’s Democratic Party chairman and Obama’s former transportation secretary. Even worse, some of this money is making its way to organizations connected to Stacey Abrams, a name that always seems to pop up when money vanishes. This isn’t a climate initiative, it’s a Democratic money machine.

And what’s the grand plan for this $7 billion? Vague references to “solar projects” that don’t come close to explaining how such a massive sum will be spent. The group secured this funding with a flimsy 49-page report—less documentation than most Americans need to submit for a small business loan. No oversight, no accountability, just billions of dollars funneled into a black hole.

The Biden administration will brush off concerns, insisting this is all about combating climate change. But where is the proof? Where is the transparency? Seven billion dollars could have built real infrastructure, supported American energy independence, or actually helped working families. Instead, it’s in the hands of a nonprofit that didn’t exist two years ago, led by political insiders, spending money in ways no one can explain. That’s not climate policy. That’s corruption.
