Biden probably thinks this will help him get reelected because traditionally America rallies behind a U.S. President.

Never mind the fact that if Russia starts killing a bunch of American troops it could easily lead to a nuclear conflict.

For instance, what if Russia takes out a U.S. Carrier battle group with a tactical nuke? That would kill thousand of U.S. Navy personnel and that would most likely retune a nuclear strike back.
