The visit occurred as nearby Pacific Palisades continued to battle devastating wildfires.
Witnesses reported seeing FBI agents and deputies outside Affleck’s $20.5 million estate in Brentwood.
The officers appeared to use the call box at the gate to his property, but the gate was not opened.
The purpose of their visit remains unclear, and it is unknown whether Affleck was home at the time.
One agent was seen wearing a short-sleeve shirt with the FBI logo on the back, while another wore body armor with similar branding.
