NY Attorney General hates the thought of everyday Americans owning firearms. She works tirelessly to attack gun owners at every turn, including trying to run the NRA out of business. As if her current civil corruption trial of Wayne LaPierre isn’t enough, on Wednesday she launched a new front in her war for civilian disarmament: surplus Lake City 5.56 ammo.
She’s partnered with 19 other state attorneys general to prod the Biden Administration to shut down civilian sales of excess Lake City 5.56×45 ammunition. While that might not sound like a big deal, that ammo represents 30% of civilian sales of that flavor of AR-food.
If they’re successful, that will sharply tighten supplies of 5.56 and cause prices to head back toward $1 per round…
I’ve been keeping an eye on stories like this because of a premonition I had around 5 years ago after I bought a 9mm carbine. In the premonition I saw myself in the local grocery store parking lot with local residents holding AR15 type rifles. One of the locals said to me in the premonition, “Why do you have a 9mm carbine?”, in a way that was very demeaning and insulting.
When I have a premonition that appears to be some type of obstacle I look for workarounds to change the future. First I looked about bringing my Ruger Mini-14 instead, which is actually not a very good, or accurate rifle, unlike my 9mm carbine which is extremely accurate. Then I looked at buying high capacity magazines, 33 round Glock magazines, and that changed the future, and got rid of the demeaning person, or shut him up.
I personally like an old west cowboy setup, where my sidearm and rifle use the same ammo (and magazine).
Biden, and his boss Obama, have vowed to ban AR15s, and I’m sure they will do something to make it happen.
