The search for those two missing soldiers in Morocco is still active. Rescue teams are looking around the cliffs and surf at the Cap Draa training area where the two were last seen Saturday night. AFRICOM says the incident is under investigation and the African Lion 2026 exercise is currently on hold. In the Persian Gulf, Project Freedom started at 08:00 local time. U.S. Navy destroyers are now guiding a convoy of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump said he is reviewing the 14 point peace plan and called talks with Tehran very positive. The IRGC released a statement calling the Navy’s move a breach of the ceasefire.
7,000 troops are assisting in the rescue and recovery effort.
