US “United States” Law SB2420 has officially passed and will come into effect January 1st 2026 in Texas. This law will force the entire App Stores on Google and Apple to force you to show ID on each app to prove you’re an adult. So checking something like the weather on an app will require ID age verification going forward. Reminder a week ago Discord had a data breach leak where millions of people’s Government Issued ID were exposed thanks to hackers after the UK Online Safety Act laws came into effect.
