130k tech layoffs slam year to date, Silicon Valley exec calls it right sizing for AI efficiency.

Tech layoffs are over 130,000 already this year and people are getting pissed watching executives brush it off as “AI efficiency” while sitting in multi million dollar houses talking about innovation.

That’s why the backlash is getting so personal. Regular people are dealing with layoffs, hiring freezes, rent that’s completely out of control, gas prices eating up paychecks, and then they see CEOs acting like gutting jobs is some exciting new evolution.

A lot of the replies are basically calling it corporate greed dressed up as progress. Especially after years of tech companies preaching about equity and workers right up until the stock price needed help.
