Zelensky Furious Over Russia and U.S. Holding Peace Talks Without Ukraine’s Involvement, Election Plans Emerge

Zelensky is having a meltdown. Ukraine’s president is blasting Russia and the U.S. for holding talks in Saudi Arabia to negotiate peace without inviting Ukraine. The message? “We won’t bow to Putin’s ultimatums.” He’s not having it. Zelensky’s made it clear that Ukraine isn’t accepting any terms that Russia or anyone else tries to impose on them. This isn’t just about peace; this is about sovereignty. Zelensky knows that any peace deal that doesn’t include Ukraine is an automatic failure.

Russia and the U.S. met in Riyadh to try and ease tensions and strike a deal to end the war. Moscow said it went well. But here’s the kicker: both Ukraine and European allies were nowhere to be found. The arrogance of these two global powers trying to cut deals behind Ukraine’s back is incredible. They act like Ukraine doesn’t have a say in its own future, like it’s some kind of pawn in their chess game.

Zelensky, not mincing words, said, “We were not invited to this Russian-American meeting in Saudi Arabia. It was a surprise for us. I think it was a surprise for many people.” This is exactly the problem. The West seems to think they can decide Ukraine’s fate without consulting them. And now Zelensky’s calling them out on it.

The peace framework? A ceasefire, elections in Ukraine, and a final agreement. Sounds simple, right? But the devil’s in the details. Senator Marco Rubio, chiming in, says any agreement must be acceptable to Ukraine, Russia, the U.S., and Europe. But Zelensky’s not about to give in to that nonsense. He’s right: holding elections under martial law is absurd, and there’s no way he’s accepting a deal without Ukraine’s full participation.

Zelensky won’t roll over. He’s made it clear: “No deal without us.” And that’s exactly how it should be. The U.S. can’t afford to play these games of “backdoor deals.” They’ve committed to Ukraine, and now it’s time to stand up for them.

If the U.S. wants peace, they need to do it the right way. No more playing geopolitics at the expense of Ukraine’s sovereignty. This isn’t about appeasing Russia—it’s about ensuring that Ukraine is in control of its own destiny. Anything less is a betrayal.
