Young boy now turned man suing the teacher that took his manhood

Josiah Strong, now an adult, claims he was subjected to repeated sexual misconduct by an elementary school teacher and athletic director, Elizabeth Dillett, while he was 14 at St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran School in Milwaukee.

The lawsuit, filed by Attorney B’Ivory LaMarr, on July 2, seeks $20 million in damages against Dillett and the LUMIN Schools. LUMIN now oversees the school but told WISN 12 News it didn’t at the time of the assaults.

“This was a person that was going to take his own life,” said Attorney LaMarr, about Josiah Strong. “Forget a lawsuit. His life was on the line here. So, after going through and processing all of that information, getting to a point of stability, now we turn to the legal system of justice.”

The lawsuit outlines a series of incidents from January 2015 to March 2016, during which Dillett allegedly groomed and coerced Strong into performing sexual favors and having sex with her.

These interactions ultimately led to multiple instances of sexual intercourse on school premises and at Dillett’s home, the lawsuit states.

Dillett was criminally charged in 2016. She pleaded guilty to criminal sexual assault of a child and spent two years in a Wisconsin prison, state records show.
