UK Digital ID is terrible

I tried explaining to my family members but any political discussion that is brought up with “extremes” – like illegal immigration, they just stay naive and basically ignore what i say.

Last year i thought it was funny seeing the guys cut down the ULEZ poles, but now i realize why they do it. I started “waking up” when the UK forced Apple to basically give up our iCloud data a few months ago, super controlling and an awful sign of things to come.

I do not trust the UK government to keep our data safe – because of common sim swaps, hacking, and barely any professionalism in that sector. They already have so much data, driving license, passport, NI number and the fact it is “free”, shows there is NO BENEFIT TO REGULAR PEOPLE.

I’m only in my early 20s and hate how everytime i read a news story, snippet etc about the UK it’s always going downhill. And the fact you can be arrested over social media posts is so sad, what a mess of a nation.

But just like the rest of the UK, people have this crabs in a bucket mentality where they just don’t care about real issues, it’s heartbreaking – i want my country to be better but this government is becoming totalitarian. UK people think they’re better than everyone, always “but America is bad because…”, we are worse and keep heading down this slippery slope.

Why are we such pushovers? To the people who voted that guy in – was this crap in their manifesto? “Sorry you can’t go on holiday for 9 more months as you have used your carbon allowance etc…”. This will become a reality for us and we will stay miserable.
