UK closes last coal power station today after 142 years of using coal – UK had first coal power station in the world

I thought this was interesting and worthy of note, a day that will go down in history.

We should have kept some plants going as a backup I think, we will see what the future brings. We already pay the most in the world for energy, 400% more than the USA!

UK is the first major economy to go coal free after being the first in the world to open a coal power station in 1882.
