The U.S. is openly planning talks on taking Greenland while leaving military options.
United States to meet with Denmark next week
The U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, has stated that the United States will meet with Denmark next week to discuss the situation in Greenland.
Rubio said that it has always been the intention of U.S. President Donald Trump for the United States to take over Greenland.
The Secretary of State declined to comment on the numerous statements regarding the possible use of military force. However, he noted that any American president always keeps the option of using military power open — not only in relation to Greenland, but worldwide.
