U.S. postal workers accused of stealing millions in checks

Former NYC Postal Workers at JFK Airport:
- Kevaughn Wellington and Ky-Mani Straker, both former USPS employees, allegedly stole over 125 U.S. Treasury checks over a two-year period from a USPS mail facility at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK Mail Facility). These checks included pandemic relief payments, Social Security benefits, and tax refunds.
- Charges were filed against them for selling the stolen checks.
Scheme Involving $24 Million Worth of Stolen Checks:
- In another case, a U.S. Postal Service worker and two others were charged with stealing $24 million worth of checks from the mail. The checks were then offered for sale online through a Telegram channel.
