US Congress introduced a bill to extend some veteran style protections to Americans who serve in the Israeli Defense Forces. The bill called H.R. 8445 treats their time in the IDF like US military service for things like job protections and financial relief.
It was pushed by Republican lawmakers and its been getting attention again lately.
“Sally tells me he does not know how long the deployment may last. But, he tells me Metro is treating this as a U.S. deployment and he will have his spot back when he returns.”
It was happening unofficially now, they seek to officialize it.
