Donald Trump plans to ban diversity initiatives on his first day in office if he wins the presidential election, according to reports.
The Republican is planning to outlaw DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) initiatives as part of a flurry of executive orders that his allies have already drafted, according to the Wall Street Journal.
He will also withdraw from the Paris climate accord, and has banned anyone associated with the Project 2025 policy document from working on his presidential transition team after it became a focus for Democrat attacks.
Trump has previously signalled that he would seek to ban DEI in both the federal government and the private sector, labelling the programmes “anti-white racism”.
“I think there is a definite anti-white feeling in this country and that can’t be allowed,” the former president told Time magazine in May.
The Trump campaign has previously said all “staff, offices, and initiatives” connected to the “un-American policy will be immediately terminated”.
