This Is Why Joe Biden’s Decision To Drop Out Of The Race Is A Nightmare Scenario

Sharing is Caring!

There sure has been plenty of chaos during this election season, hasn’t there?  Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the race is a nightmare scenario for Democrats, Republicans and for the country as whole.  First of all, if the Democrats pick Kamala Harris she will be the worst major party presidential candidate in the entire history of our nation, and that is really saying something.  Biden would have had a much better chance of beating Trump, and the Democrats will literally be committing political suicide if they choose to go with Harris.  Of course the Republicans are facing a nightmare scenario too, because now the Democrats have the opportunity to pick someone like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro that would have a real shot at winning the election.  Trump and his team were cruising toward an easy victory, and now they will have a couple of very nervous weeks ahead of them as they wait to see who the Democrats will select.  In the end, I think that it will be Kamala Harris, and that would be a nightmare scenario for all of us.  If she is the nominee, she will have a legitimate shot at becoming the next president of the United States, and if that happens it would be difficult to overstate how disastrous that would be for our country.

When I sat down at my computer a little while ago, I was absolutely stunned to learn that Joe Biden had finally made a decision to drop out

President Biden announced Sunday that he is dropping out of the 2024 presidential race and threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.

“While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for my term,” Mr. Biden posted in a statement on social media.

Mr. Biden said he would address the nation later this week.

I think that he finally realized that there was no way that he was going to win.

But if he is doing this for the good of his party, then why in the world would he endorse Kamala Harris?

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

One recent survey showed that Harris would perform very poorly against Trump in the general election…

The poll found that, if given the choice between Trump or Harris, 49 percent of voters prefer Trump and only 42 percent prefer Harris, with the remaining nine percent of voters undecided.

Without the option to choose undecided, Trump still leads with 53 percent of voters preferring the former president while only 47 percent would choose Harris.

I just don’t see how she could win.

When she ran for president in 2020, it was a historic disaster.

But somehow she convinced Joe Biden to pick her as his running mate anyway.

It was not a popular choice, and her approval ratings have been absolutely dismal ever since then.

So it would be crazy for the Democrats to select her.

But it is probably going to happen anyway.

It appears that the fix is in, and it smells like this whole thing has been orchestrated to make sure that Harris is the nominee.  Very shortly after Biden stepped aside, the endorsements started rolling in.

Bill and Hillary Clinton have officially endorsed Harris…

The former president and the former secretary of state, who was the Democratic nominee for president in 2016, pledged to do “whatever we can” to support Harris.“We’ve lived through many ups and downs, but nothing has made us more worried for our country than the threat posed by a second Trump term,” the Clintons said in a joint statement. “He has promised to be a dictator on day one, and the recent ruling by his servile Supreme Court will only embolden him to further shred the Constitution. Now is the time to support Kamala Harris and fight with everything we’ve got to elect her. America’s future depends on it.”

So has Elizabeth Warren

I endorse Kamala Harris for President. She is a proven fighter who has been a national leader in safeguarding consumers and protecting access to abortion. As a former prosecutor, she can press a forceful case against allowing Donald Trump to regain the White House. We have many talented people in our party, but Vice President Harris is the person who was chosen by the voters to succeed Joe Biden if needed. She can unite our party, take on Donald Trump, and win in November.

U.S. Representative James Clyburn was one of the key figures that helped Joe Biden secure the Democratic nomination in 2020, and now he is behind Harris

Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., a respected former leadership member of the House Democratic Caucus, said in a statement that he endorses Harris for president.

“I echo the good judgment [Biden] demonstrated in selecting Vice President Harris to lead this nation alongside him, and I am proud to follow his lead in support of her candidacy to succeed him as the Democratic Party’s 2024 nominee for President,” Clyburn wrote.

The current head of the Congressional Black Caucus also rushed out an official endorsement

Congressional Black Caucus chairman Rep. Steven Horsford, D-Nev., and CBC political action committee chairman Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., said they join Biden in “fully supporting” Harris to be the Democratic presidential nominee.

“She has been instrumental in delivering the accomplishments of the last 3.5 years and has led on lowering maternal mortality rates, protecting reproductive freedoms, and ensuring economic opportunities for all,” they said in a joint statement. “She will do an excellent job as President of the United States.”

It is so obvious that this was planned.

They all knew that this was coming, and they were all ready to endorse Harris.

Here are some more Democratic lawmakers that have already endorsed Harris

  • California Rep. Mike Levin of California said: “It is time to move forward with Kamala Harris as our new leader. Together.”
  • Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono endorsed Harris, saying: “I’m proud to call Vice President Harris a friend and colleague, and I look forward to doing everything in my power to get her elected to the White House, so we can continue building on the progress of the last four years.”
  • New Jersey Rep. Andy Kim, who is running for Sen. Bob Menendez’s seat, also endorsed Harris: “I have full faith in Vice President Harris to lead a new generation of leadership for our country,” he said, calling her candidacy “historic, not just the opportunity to elect the first woman, the first AAPI President, and a Black woman, but to continue on the incredible progress we’ve started.”
  • Delaware Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, a Biden ally who is running for Senate in the president’s home state, said, “There is no better person or leader more equipped to do so than Vice President Kamala Harris.”
  • Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell told CNN she endorsed Harris and praised Biden in a post on X.
  • California Rep. Salud Carbajal called Harris “a proven leader who has been a critical voice in this administration.” Carbajal said he is “proud to wholeheartedly support her to be the Democratic Party’s nominee in the process ahead.”
  • Washington Sen. Patty Murray said she respects Biden’s “willingness to pass the torch” and endorsed Harris for president, who she said she is behind “one-hundred percent,” according to a statement.

It will really take something big to keep Harris from becoming the nominee at this point.

But of course it is still possible.

When Trump learned that Biden had dropped out, he went on Truth Social and took one last dig at Biden and his policies

“Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement,” Trump said.

“All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t – And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

I think that Trump really wanted to run against Biden.

But his team has been making preparations for a potential race with Harris…

The plan includes a wave of ads that will focus on Harris’s record in her current office – as well as the time she spent in office in her home state of California.

Trump’s campaign strategists have prepared opposition research books on Harris, two people briefed on the matter told the New York Times.

This has already been the most “interesting” election season in modern history.

And the truth is that the political chaos that we are experiencing is just one element of “the perfect storm” that we have now entered.

There will be many more twists and turns during the weeks and months ahead, and so don’t get too comfortable.
