They can do all the airstrikes they want, the Yemenis don’t give a damn.
In my article last week, I outlined the only two options for dealing with the Houthis: attempt a full scale invasion of Northern Yemen or give in to their political demand to force Israel to back off Gaza.
Both options will hurt the Biden administration. If they send US special forces into the Yemeni highlands, they will suffer significant casualties and fail to meet any objectives.
State Department knows this.
But if they try to even modestly confront the lobby domestically, then Biden will be taken out of power and Trump will be installed.

Houthis are not disrupting all maritime shipping.
They are surgically targeting Israeli commerce. The people who run Washington and London are choosing to involve themselves and putting all their merchant vessels at risk in the process.
China and Russia have been granted safe passage in the Red Sea, for example.
Ships not owned by Israelis or docking in Israel are freely traveling through the Red Sea, just like the Houthis promised.
