The Philadelphia police department has fired their first ever DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) officer.

DEI officer Leslie Marant was fired just hours before new commissioner Kevin Bethel was set to take office.

Marant’s base salary was a whopping $170,568. She was told her “services” were no longer needed.

The move also comes as Philadelphia mayor Cherelle Parker signed an executive order declaring a public safety emergency.

“I want the world to know that I am fully committed to ending this sense of lawlessness and bringing order back to our city and a sense of lawfulness,” she said as she vowed to hire 300 more police officers and to restore stop-and-frisk.
