If they had destroyed a statue of Golda Meir instead of Robert E. Lee, Republicans would be sending in the National Guard and arresting everyone on the Charlottesville city council.
Charlottesville’s Robert E. Lee statue has met its end, in a 2,250-degree furnace.
The divisive Confederate monument, the focus of the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in 2017, was secretly melted down and will become a new piece of public art.

The Robert E. Lee statue in Charlottesville was exceptional by American standards due to its stunning beauty.
How many majestic artistic displays can we see in our day to day lives in this country?
What a crime.
As we all know, attacks on Southern heritage are not attacks on slavery or racism or whatever gay bullsh*t, but on American identity and white people.
This is a part of our history. People died.
No one has any right to erase this memory.
But Year Zero Analism thinks they can do it.
Melting Lee is a symbolic hate gesture and a humiliation ritual.
Even if you believed it shouldn’t be in a park, it could be auctioned off.
We will win or the thing will collapse.
There is no potential for survival of the ideology.
