There are almost 7,000,000 people in United States with delinquent student loans right now that have been shielded from taking a hit on their credit score from not paying. But starting October 1, 2024 that’s all over with and taking a hit on your credit score at a time when interest rates are high can be detrimental to your finances. Another blow to this already weak economy.
