Starbucks is set to close 400 stores across the United States.

Big city residents may not see as many Starbucks moving forward.

CNN reported Monday that the iconic Seattle-based coffee giant is planning to close roughly 400 stores nationwide as part of its $1 billion restructuring plan.

The closings will be in concentrated metro areas like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago where Starbucks has attempted to lure customers for years based on store volume in high-traffic areas.

Store closings have also been reported in San Francisco, Minneapolis and Baltimore, among others.
