Typhoon Bebinca has indeed had a significant impact on Shanghai. The city experienced its strongest typhoon in over 70 years, with winds reaching up to 151 km/h (94 mph) at the storm’s center. Over 400,000 residents were evacuated, and there were widespread disruptions to transportation, including the cancellation of flights, trains, and highways.
While the typhoon caused substantial damage, including uprooting trees and knocking out power to some homes, the situation is being managed with extensive emergency response efforts. Authorities have mobilized over 60,000 emergency responders to assist with recovery and aid.
