Seattle will no longer dispatch police officers to alarm events without verification such as video footage

An operator is going to have to confirm there is an actual crime event taking place before dispatching police, starting October 1st.

This is being done to cut down the amount of times an officer is dispatched when an alarm goes off and there is not an emergency and to increase surveILLance capabilities.
