Pay attention to what is going on at the Trudovskaya Mine outside Mariinka, west of Donetsk City.
Russians apparently did a surprise Zerg Rush across open fields around the Ukrainian Defenses near Mariinka and have apparently gotten into the mine complex via a ventilation facility.
This deep and huge underground mine has been the Ukrainians key to holding the entire area for years. Numerous outlets and ventilation shafts have allowed the Ukies to avoid bombardments, and to move troops underground all over the area.
The Ukies are throwing everything they have at them to try and push them out. Apparently this is a huge threat that could unhinge the entire Ukrainian defense around Donetsk City.
This is a huge complex, the Russians have apparently taken a part of it and invested the mine itself, not taken all of it as this reeet implies.

at all. The compound may be part of the large, now UA state-owned, Trudovskaya mine, whose main complex lies a bit to the southeast. It is a significant Russian advance as it indicates the capture of an important defensive position & road junction in the area, which threatens pic.twitter.com/Qm3xGrciMX

Ukrainians put up fierce resistance for the Trudovskaya mine and used everything from HIMARS, to ATGM’s and drones.
Russians lost several vehicles and soldiers. The Ukrainian side admits however that the end result is unknown. pic.twitter.com/zgNQdiPeCo
