In an amusing twist to a bankruptcy saga, Giuliani lists Hunter Biden as an unsecured creditor to his bankrupt estate. He failed to list Trump as a creditor.
Bankruptcy Background
On December 15, Rudy Giuliani was found guilty of defaming election workers and slapped with a $148 million verdict.
Giuliani accused two women, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, of fabricating ballots.
The women went into hiding amid a barrage of death threats from supporters of former President Donald Trump.
Key Moments of the Trial
The Guardian has Key Moments of the Trial.
- Lawyers for Freeman and Moss played audio and displayed several of the racist messages they received in court. It included one of a person saying a racial slur over and over again. Another was a picture of what Freeman described as a kind of “monkey beast” and had writing on it that said “Ruby Freeman’s father”.
- Freeman said she had to leave her home for safety reasons. She hired a lawyer to help keep her name off any home-related documents for her new place. She said she felt like she has lost who she is, and her good name.
- Moss detailed how she became anxious to even leave the house, and that the false claims caused her son to be harassed, eventually failing his classes. She said she still does not really go out.
- Giuliani himself dismissed the verdict and told reporters outside Washington’s federal courthouse that he will appeal, saying the “absurdity of the number merely underscores the absurdity of the entire proceeding”. “It will be reversed so quickly it will make your head spin, and the absurd number that just came in will help that actually,” he said.
Liar to the Bitter End
Giuliani stated he would prove in court that everything he said about Moss and Freeman fabricating ballots was true. Then he presented no evidence and refused to testify.
Next he claimed the decision will be reversed. And now he is bankrupt.
Rudy Giuliani Files for Bankruptcy
The Wall Street Journal reports Rudy Giuliani Files for Bankruptcy.
Giuliani filed for chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York on Thursday, reporting estimated assets of between $1 million and $10 million and estimated liabilities of at least $152 million.
Giuliani’s liabilities include millions of unpaid debts from lawsuits. Around $148 million is owed to Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Shaye Moss, the two election workers whom Giuliani falsely accused of meddling with the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.
A federal judge on Wednesday ordered Giuliani to immediately pay the money he owes to Moss and Freeman, saying he might “hide his financial assets” if he were allowed to wait.
Giuliani listed Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, and voting equipment companies Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic as unsecured creditors to his bankrupt estate, although the amounts they are owed were listed as unknown. Hunter Biden, Dominion and Smartmatic have pending lawsuits against the former New York mayor.
Hunter Biden sued Giuliani and others in September, alleging that they hacked, copied and disseminated data from his personal devices. Giuliani has said that the lawsuit is frivolous.
Hunter Biden, Dominion and Smartmatic Creditors!?
Giuliani defamed Dominion.
And Hunter has a lawsuit against Giuliani, but that could easily be frivolous.
One Creditor is Missing – Donald Trump
Please consider August 19, 2023 NYT report Giuliani Repeatedly Sought Financial Lifeline From Trump
Rudolph W. Giuliani is running out of money and looking to collect from a longtime client who has yet to pay: former President Donald J. Trump.
To recover the millions of dollars he believes he is owed for his efforts to keep Mr. Trump in power, Mr. Giuliani first deferred to his lawyer, who pressed anyone in Mr. Trump’s circle who would listen.
Mr. Giuliani, 79, who was criminally charged alongside Mr. Trump this week in the election conspiracy case in Georgia, is currently sitting on what one person familiar with his financial situation says is nearly $3 million in legal expenses. And that is before accounting for any money that Mr. Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, might be owed for his work conducted after Election Day on Mr. Trump’s behalf.
The effort to collect legal fees from Mr. Trump began in earnest more than two years ago. Mr. Giuliani’s main lawyer, Robert J. Costello, started calling people in Mr. Trump’s orbit, making the case that the former president was on the hook for legal fees Mr. Giuliani incurred because of his work for Mr. Trump.
Over a nearly two-hour dinner, Mr. Costello pressed Mr. Trump to cover not only Mr. Giuliani’s legal bills, but also to pay him for the work Mr. Giuliani provided Mr. Trump in the wake of the 2020 election.
Mr. Trump resisted, noting that Mr. Giuliani did not win any of those cases. Mr. Costello, who did most of the talking for Mr. Giuliani, said that the money was not coming out of Mr. Trump’s own pocket, but rather the coffers of his PAC. By the end of the dinner, Mr. Trump agreed that Mr. Giuliani would be paid, one person said. But in the weeks that followed, neither he nor the PAC delivered.
The Tragedy of Rudy Giuliani
Finally, please consider The Tragedy of Rudy Giuliani by the WSJ editorial board.
The [bankruptcy] judgment illustrates the fate of so many who promoted Donald Trump’s claims of election fraud in 2020. Some, like lawyer Sidney Powell, have pleaded guilty to crimes. Those who breached the Capitol on Jan. 6, however naively, have had their lives turned upside down by indictments and in some cases jail time. Mr. Giuliani could be left bankrupt and lose his law license.
The only person who may emerge unscathed from his election falsehoods is Mr. Trump. There’s a lesson in that for those who put loyalty to a person above their better judgment.
Giuliani is disgraced and bankrupt. The DC Bar Association recommended he lose his law license.
If Trump does own Giuliani millions of dollars, someone on the bankruptcy case will figure it out and go after the money.
This could get interesting.
Trump Disqualified From 2024 Colorado Ballot, Supreme Court Challenge Coming
On December 19, I noted Trump Disqualified From 2024 Colorado Ballot, Supreme Court Challenge Coming
This is disgraceful politics by the Colorado Supreme Court. Trump has not been convicted of anything, at least yet.
Trump is accused of crimes, but the Colorado Court is acting like the prosecutor and the jury. The Colorado Court deserves a strong rebuke from the US Supreme Court.
I don’t like Trump but I do believe in the law. The Colorado Supreme court overreached and the decision was 100% pure politics.
Hunter Biden Whitewash
Did Hunter need to spend $872,000 on hookers and porn to stay in business?
There could be a case for that. 😂

Meanwhile, as the evidence mounts against the president, it is increasingly swept under the rug.

Impeachment Investigation Merited
An impeachment investigation of Joe is merited, based on the evidence at hand.
The Washington Post claim there is no evidence is preposterous.
A huge amount of evidence directly points to the president despite the massive and still ongoing efforts by the special prosecutor and Joe himself to sweep everything under the rug.
The Real Tragedy
Is Trump vs Biden the best we could do? How about the worst?
Unfortunately, one of them is going to win.
That’s the real tragedy. Giuliani is just getting what he deserves.
