Rand Paul: Anthony Fauci will appear before Senate committee (7/29)

Rand Paul as committee chairman send subpoena to Anthony Fauci.

Fauci must appear in public on July 29 before Senate Homeland Security Committee.

Questions will cover NIH money to Wuhan lab, gain of function research, and if Fauci lied to Congress.

Fauci first agreed to testify voluntary this month but then refused.

Paul already tried many times before to question Fauci on these topics.

Biden gave Fauci pardon in January 2025 but Paul says it does not stop the hearing.

Paul released new documents about Fauci ties to intelligence and possible cover up.

This is part of bigger fight about how COVID started and government actions.

Even with pardon Fauci still has to answer questions and this keeps the lab leak story alive in official record.

Senate Republicans use committee power to push accountability when courts or DOJ do not act.

This hearing can make more pressure for full release of all documents and damage trust in public health officials more.
