Private jet crashes in fireball on highway…

This is the horrifying moment a private jet exploded in a fireball when it crashed on a road in Malaysia this afternoon – killing all eight onboard and at least two motorists.

The plane took off from Langkawi but nosedived onto a highway in the town of Elmina in Shah Alam, Selangor province, just short of the airport runway at 2.49 pm local time.

It collided with a motorcycle rider killing them instantly along with a second car driver.

Footage shows smoke billowing from the wreckage as locals rushed to help. The motorcycle rider’s body was also engulfed in flames.

Onlookers said the aircraft – a Beechcraft Premier 1 with the tail number N28jV – initially crashed onto the road but continued onto the grass verge.
Resident Amahl said: ‘The pilot and a passenger were dead at the scene. It crashed onto the road and then went towards the grass.’

The chartered plane was reportedly flying from the upmarket island of Langkawi to Subang when it plunged onto the road, just a short distance from the runway at the airport.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed the incident.

He said the flight took off at about 2.08pm from Langkawi and was scheduled to land at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang at 2.49pm.
