The Church’s morals didn’t change until Vatican II in the 1960s.
Before that, you had nearly two thousand years of consistency.
If you speak to neo-Catholics now, they will tell you that there was a great revelation in the 20th century, and they realized that morality is constantly in flux, and that basically, all the fundamental premises of the historic Church are wrong.
The Pope has gone from promoting gay anal to now actively attacking the people pushing back on it.
He must be feeling he’s in a good position, to move from encouraging gay sex to actively organizing anyone opposed to it.
He’s especially opposed to Americans, who are apparently being very vocal about their disagreement with the Pope’s anal agenda.
Pope Francis has lamented what he called a “reactionary” Catholic Church in the United States, where he said political ideology has replaced faith in some cases.
In the 10 years since his election, Francis has been criticised by conservative sectors of the U.S. Church who are opposed to reforms such as giving women and lay Catholics more roles and making the Church more welcoming and less judgmental towards some, including LGBT people.
Francis made his comments on Aug. 5 in a private meeting in Lisbon with members of the Jesuit order, of which he is a member, during his trip for World Youth Day. They were published on Monday by the Jesuit journal Civilta Cattolica.
