Pete Hegseth says nearly 200 U.S. special forces penetrated downtown Caracas, humiliating Russian backed air defenses

HEGSETH: “200 AMERICANS WENT DOWNTOWN IN CARACAS”

Secretary Pete Hegseth publicly trolled Russia’s multi-billion dollar air defense systems protecting Venezuela, revealing nearly 200 American special forces operators penetrated downtown Caracas while calling it “re-establishing deterrence.”

Hegseth delivered the remarks during a speech at a Virginia shipbuilding facility, praising the military’s “support of law enforcement” in capturing Maduro.

“We saw three nights ago, in downtown Caracas in Venezuela as nearly 200 of our greatest Americans went downtown in Caracas.

Russian air defenses didn’t quite work so well that night.

Because of President Trump’s leadership, the world is taking notice, they are noticing American power.”

The operation showcased American special forces capability against what was supposed to be one of the most protected leaders in the world, backed by Russian S-300 and BUK air defense systems.
