An off-duty cop on Hilton Head allegedly confronted a group of teenagers walking through a neighborhood during the day. According to video he apparently first he drove by on a four-wheeler, then came back in a pickup truck, and came back a third time in foot dressed in police gear and brandishing a pistol directly at the teens.
The off-duty cop was not arrested or breathalyzed. His police department as well as HHI appears to be going to great lengths to protect his identity even though brandishing is a serious crime and they would never protect the identity of a member of the public. He was “relieved of duty without pay pending investigation” but it looks like they are going to try to bury this one.
Please avoid vacationing on Hilton Head Island as this is what’s going on there. You have no rights there if you’re not part of the ruling elite.
