AI can distort the passage of time within the human conscious mind. You could be plugged into AI while your corpus lays in a pod for 5 minutes to serve a 100-year sentence; inside the mind matrix your perception of time is distorted by AI that those five minutes feel like 100 years. Society would benefit from this as prison space would be inconsequential. My worry, however, is in the wrong hands, you could conceivably be trapped in AI and tormented, your perception of time distorted to make it feel like the torment lasted 1000 years!
