DEVELOPING STORY: A midnight deadline to leave Columbia University has come and gone and the Hamas activists are still encamped on the New York City Ivy League campus. There are reports that Gov. Kathy Hochul has been in talks with the university to activate the National Guard of the protesters refuse to leave.
“What we are seeing on college campuses throughout America is horrific,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wrote on X. “The Biden administration has been silent on the protests at Yale, Columbia, and NYU. They are TERRIFIED of the radical leftists in their base. Any student calling to harm another should be expelled and arrested.”
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) demanded Education Secretary Cardona, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas take immediate action “to address the out of control antisemitic takeover of Columbia.”
