Meanwhile, high-profile political figures, including Matt Gaetz, are warning that “assassination teams” have been mobilized to target Trump ahead of the election following revelations from Secret Service whistleblowers that Routh knew about security vulnerabilities.
Gaetz told Real America’s Voice he received some disturbing news on the assassination attempt.
“I had a senior official from the Department of Homeland Security in my office before the second assassination attempt saying what he has assessed is that there are five known assassination teams in the United States, three inspired by other governments, two that are here that are known domestic assassination teams,” said Gaetz.
Trump’s son, Eric Trump, also suggested the second assassination
was likely an “inside job. I’m not that tinfoil hat guy, I’m actually a very sane human being and I think there’s a lot of conspiracy theories out there that are absolutely insane.”
