English singer-songwriter Morrissey is canceling his upcoming concerts this weekend due to a “credible threat” on his life. A post on his official Instagram page notes, “In recent days, there has been a credible threat on Morrissey’s life. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and audience, tonight’s engagement at Foxwoods has been canceled. We appreciate your understanding.”
The official Instagram account for Boston’s MGM Music Hall, where he was set to perform tomorrow, released a similar statement, noting, “In recent days, there has been a credible threat on Morrissey’s life. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and band, tomorrow’s engagement at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway has been canceled.”
