Mob of nearly 100 looters ransacks Oakland gas station as store owner says police took hours to respond

According to reports, a mob of around 80 to 100 looters descended upon a gas station convenience store near the Oakland International Airport. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. following a car sideshow. These looters caused significant destruction, grabbing everything they could get their hands on. The store owner estimated losses of around $100,000. During the mass pillaging, two employees inside the store were threatened, and the ordeal lasted approximately 40 minutes. Unfortunately, despite a distress call to the Oakland police, authorities took a staggering nine hours to arrive at the sceneThe delayed response has raised concerns about public safety resources and the need for action from city leaders.
