Girls deserve better than this betrayal. Minnesota’s leaders are siding with ideology over reality, throwing fairness out the window in favor of political posturing. No one is stopping anyone from playing sports, but pretending there’s no biological difference between boys and girls is beyond dishonest—it’s dangerous. Where does this end? How many scholarships will be stolen? How many records will be erased? How many girls will be pushed out of their own leagues before people admit the obvious? This isn’t progress. It’s an attack on truth, and it’s happening in plain sight.
MSHSL will follow MN law on transgender athletes in sports, not Pres. Trump’s order
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) says students in the state are allowed to participate in sports consistent with their gender identity, despite President Donald Trump’s newest Executive Order.
Trump signed the order Wednesday to prevent transgender athletes from participating in women’s or girl’s sporting events.
MSHSL cites the Minnesota Human Rights Act and the Minnesota Constitution as the determining factor of transgender student-athletes’ eligibility, not the Executive Order.

What they’re saying:
MSHSL says that the eligibility of transgender student-athletes is “determined by state law, through the Minnesota Human Rights Act and the Minnesota Constitution.”The organization will continue to abide by the anti-discrimination laws in the state, which doesn’t allow discrimination based on gender identity.
Because of these state laws, students in Minnesota can participate in sports consistent with their gender identity, despite Trump’s new Executive Order.
MSHSL says it will “continue to review the existing state laws alongside the new Presidential Executive Order and its timeline, processes for states, and requirements that are included.”
