Millions told not to dry laundry outside as UK bakes in 34C scorcher

Hayfever sufferers are being warned not to leave their clothes outside on airers to dry in the UK heatwave. UK households must not allow clothes to dry outside as the temperatures ramp up this week, bringing 34C highs to the country.

Rebecca Samuels, lifestyle buyer at Suit Direct, has warned pollen is naturally small and rough and can easily land on and stick to clothing.

She warned UK households that, as the heat rises, and without the right laundry routine, pollen can remain trapped in clothing fibres and continue to trigger hay fever symptoms each time you come into contact with that garment.
