Hold on to your aviator glasses – the US house just passed a bill that basically bans the largest drone manufacturer in the world.

DJI, which dominates 80% of the U.S. drone market, is facing a ban on all new drones.

It would be like banning Apple… or what other company owns 80% of any market?! 80%!!

The Countering CCP Drones Act just passed the House and could ban new imports of DJI drones due to concerns over “data security and ties to the Chinese government.”

Almost 1-million current DJI drone owners won’t be immediately affected, but the bill may block FCC approval for future models and possibly ground existing drones in the future.

This could significantly impact industries that rely on DJI drones, like agriculture, law enforcement, and construction.
