The resurfacing of bigoted blog posts by the president of Media Matters, featuring inflammatory language targeting various groups, adds fuel to the ongoing feud with Elon Musk. Legal experts suggest Musk may have a strong case against Media Matters, with some asserting that bankrupting the organization could be a significant victory for free speech. In the midst of the controversy, Tucker Carlson delivers a scathing critique, characterizing Media Matters as a “communist front group” with a deep-seated animosity towards Western civilization.
On Monday, Elon Musk’s X sued Media Matters, claiming that the David Brock-founded leftist ‘watchdog’ group manipulated the platform to show major ads next to Nazi imagery, causing a flood of advertisers to leave the platform.
“The end result was a feed precision-designed by Media Matters for a single purpose: to produce side-by-side ad/content placements that it could screenshot in an effort to alienate advertisers,” causing “all but one of the companies featured in the Media Matters piece withdrawing all ads from X, including Apple, Comcast, NBCUniversal, and IBM—some of X’s largest advertisers.”
The move by Media Matters was a successful attempt to brand Elon Musk and his platform as antisemitic, after Musk took fire for agreeing with a post suggesting that liberal Jews – who “have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them,” are now on the receiving end of things.
Billionaire Elon Musk’s social media platform X’s — formerly Twitter — lawsuit against Media Matters could lead to damages for the left-wing group, legal experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Media Matters alleged that advertisements from major advertisers show up on antisemitic content on X on Thursday, according to a report. While the case is not a slam dunk, there is merit to it and it could lead to financial damages and an injunction, experts told the DCNF.
X is not alone.
I can also confirm that Media Matters has purposely misrepresented Rumble. Their dishonesty warrants an immediate investigation at the highest levels (hint, @SpeakerJohnson & @Jim_Jordan), and I’ll bring the receipts.

Top conservative thought leader Tucker Carlson pulled no punches when discussing Media Matters and the ideologically driven corporate press while speaking at a business conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday. The former Fox News host stated that Media Matters “hates Western civilization” and revealed what he learned from his long career in cable news.
Media Matters — a far-left “media watchdog” group that has organized numerous pressure campaigns on advertisers for prominent conservatives — has featured prominently in the news recently due to a pressure campaign aimed at Elon Musk’s Twitter/X. Far-left organizations and individuals have accused Musk of “antisemitism” in recent weeks for agreeing with a tweet that called out the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for endorsing anti-white rhetoric.
Media Matters then accused X of placing ads next to extremist and antisemitic tweets, leading to a massive advertiser boycott. Musk has since produced evidence that this could not be possible and filed a massive lawsuit against the group.
Uh, hey guys?
