Massachusetts: Recommended 6pm Curfew over Eastern Equine Encephalitis

Oxford & Several towns in Massachusetts are preparing for voluntary lockdowns following a human case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) – a virus spread my Mosquitoes

Lockdown in Massachusetts and two other counties due to the new incurable mosquito – borne infection that Kills 30% Of its victims.

Eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEE) can cause a febrile illness or neurologic disease, including meningitis or encephalitis.

There are no vaccines to prevent or medicines to treat eastern equine encephalitis.

State and local health officials urged people in those towns to avoid the peak mosquito biting times by finishing outdoor activities by 6 p.m. until Sept. 30 and then by 5 p.m. after that, until the first hard frost. – Source
