‘Mass casualty event’ after a ferry strikes sandbar in Clearwater, Florida.

Numerous emergency crews are currently on scene in clear water Florida responding to a mass casualty incident after the Clearwater Ferry reportedly crashed into a sandbar. The ferry, carrying dozens of passengers, suffered significant damage upon impact. Early reports indicate that between 40 and 50 passengers were on board the ferry but the number of people have been injured are currently unknown , with at least three people are in critical condition. Two medical evacuation aircraft have been deployed to transport the most severely injured to nearby hospitals. This is a developing situation
