People are ordered to flee Florida as Hurricane Milton approaches – or see their homes swallowed by the devastating storm surge. Evacuation orders are in place for more than a million people as the state prepares for what could be the worst storm to hit the state “for over a century”.
They say the Tampa Bay area, home to more than 3.3 million people, faces the possibility of widespread destruction after avoiding direct hits from major hurricanes for more than a century.
