LEAKED: Trump’s MIND-BLOWING Greenland Deal; ‘US To Mimic UK-style Control Of Cyprus’

Agreed in principle during talks between US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Davos, the proposal would reportedly designate US base zones as American territory, allowing military operations, intelligence activity, and even access to rare earth minerals without Danish approval. While Trump hails the idea as a major national security win, critics warn it amounts to sovereignty by stealth. With Greenlanders skeptical and Europe uneasy, the deal raises explosive questions about power, borders, and control in the Arctic.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump said the framework of a future deal also spanned the “entire Arctic region”, adding the “solution” will be great for the US and all NATO countries.

He said he had spoken with other European leaders about it, but nothing had yet been signed and details have not been forthcoming.

Trump also declared the US “won’t use force” to take Greenland.

Trump Deal Gives US Sovereignty Over Small Pockets Of Greenland For Military Bases

With little official information on what Trump earlier called “a framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland”, which prompted the president to call off tariff threats that he had issued in an effort to secure American ownership of Greenland, and sparked a massive market rally (just as JPMorgan’s trading desk said would happen), the NYT reports that the announcement followed a NATO meeting on Wednesday “where top military officers from the alliance’s member states discussed a compromise in which Denmark would give the United States sovereignty over small pockets of Greenlandic land where the United States could build military bases.”

The NYT goes on to note that according to two of the officials, who attended the meeting, the deal compares “to the United Kingdom’s bases in Cyprus, which are regarded as British territory.”

PUTIN REACTS TO GREENLAND: Exposes NATO Discomfort, Frames Issue As Old Western Practice

Russian President Vladimir Putin weighed in on U.S. President Donald Trump’s renewed push to acquire Greenland, dismissing the issue as irrelevant to Russia while invoking historical precedent to frame the debate. Speaking in Moscow, Putin recalled Russia’s 1867 sale of Alaska to the United States for 7.2 million dollars, estimating that adjusted for inflation the deal would be worth about 158 million dollars today, and suggesting Greenland’s value could range between 200 and 250 million dollars, or closer to a billion when measured against historical gold prices. Putin also cited Denmark’s past territorial sales to the United States and criticised Copenhagen’s colonial treatment of Greenland, while stressing the matter should be resolved between Denmark and Washington. His remarks come as Trump links Greenland to U.S. and European security, unsettling NATO allies and prompting Secretary General Mark Rutte to publicly reaffirm the alliance’s commitment to defend the United States.
