The problem Matt Gaetz has is that 95% of Republicans are exactly like Kevin McCarthy and the other 5% are reality TV show celebrities who have no political agenda, just meaningless stunts.
I can only come up with three serious conservative figures in the last 10 years.
One was Mark Brnovich, whose Senate bid was unfairly thwarted by Peter Thiel, who wasted $10 million dollars funding the idiotic NRX meme campaign of Blake Masters.
The next are Jeff Sessions and Kris Kobach, both whose political careers were maliciously ruined by Donald Trump because unlike orange man, those two sincerely wanted to fight against illegal immigration.
So they have purged anyone with a brain or interest in achieving results voters want.
Will they make Trump speaker of the house?
There’s nothing left to do but send in the chief Ringling Bros clown himself and take meaningless reality TV/WWF antics to the next level.
