The Israeli military said on Monday it is “currently conducting strikes” on Iranian regime targets “in the heart of Tehran,” less than an hour after US President Donald Trump announced that Washington had held talks with Iran and would pause planned strikes.
According to a Reuters report, the Israeli military confirmed that it was carrying out operations in Tehran even as the United States signalled a temporary halt to its own planned military action.

Trump said earlier in the day that the United States would postpone planned strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days following what he described as “very good and productive conversations” with Tehran over the past two days.
