People maybe don’t understand this, but Gaza is only 140 sq miles.
With over 2 million people, it’s the most densely populated territory in the world. The people are locked in.
Breaking News: Israel told the United Nations that the entire population of northern Gaza — over 1 million people — should relocate within 24 hours. https://t.co/GybKNOQGqs

Palestinians have been totally blockaded in Gaza for years.
They’re not allowed to leave.
The blockade is held by Israel and Egypt.
Egypt gets all these bribes from the US to keep these people locked in, and anyway, doesn’t have anything to do with 1-2 homeless million people.
Apparently, what Israel is saying is that the Palestinians should just move south from Gaza City into… open desert?
Gaza is 1/10th the size of Long Island, and there is no exit.
These people literally have no place to go, unless the United States orders Egypt to let them out.
What Hamas did, for good or ill, is making everyone choose sides.
Probably, we need a big analysis on how the Abraham Accords, implemented under Donald Trump by Mike Pompeo and Jared Kushner, led directly to this point.
Basically, the Abraham Accords involved bribing a bunch of Moslem countries to open relations with Israel, in a way that would isolate Palestine and Iran, which left the Palestinians feeling they had no option but to force the issue.
They attack Israel, Israel responds with utter slaughter.
Now, everyone has to choose sides.
