Insolvencies in Germany soar 10.7% in August

Germany experienced a 10.7% increase in insolvencies in August 2024 compared to the same month the previous year. The growth rate in insolvencies has indeed been in double-digit territory since June 2023, except for June 2024, when it briefly eased to 6.3%. Additionally, in the first half of 2024, German courts reported 10,702 corporate insolvencies, marking a 24.9% year-on-year increase.
